I was introduced to Beautycounter in August and have fallen in love! My best friend’s sister is a Beautycounter consultant and I went to a Beautycounter party, where we got to try the Charcoal Mask and bought a good amount of items. I changed up my entire night time routine and have been so pleased with the results!
If you aren’t familiar with Beautycounter, here is a little blurb from my consultant, Jodi.
Beautycounter is a small company based out of California that produces safer beauty and skincare products. They are a Certified B Corporation which means that they put the health of people and the planet over their profit. They do this by producing products with the highest level of safety on the market. They source responsibly and are constantly doing research about ingredients. They ban the use of over 1500 ingredients that are known to be harmful or are questionable in some way when creating their products, and this list is called the Never List. They also believe strongly in education and advocacy. They advocate in Washington D.C. for more health protective laws in the beauty industry because the last time a major US federal law was passed in the industry was in 1938 which was 80 years ago. That law is only 1.5 pages long and bans the use of about 30 ingredients, while the European Union bans over 1400 ingredients and Canada bans over 600.
I have always been the type of girl that washes their face in the morning and evening, put on moisturizer twice a day, but I never really looked into what ingredients my skincare products had. I am still not all familiar with what everything is but all I know is I love the way my skin is feeling and looking.
Recently I just completed a Peel & Reveal Challenge with a couple of girls! We all started using the peel on September 1st and took a picture of our skin before. We continued to use the peel 3-4x a week, checking in on certain days with photos. It was so much fun to see how my skin was changing and how amazing it felt.
The Overnight Resurfacing Peel is just heavenly! The name can throw you off a little though, it is a peel but not the kind you peel off. It is more like a lotion. You put it on at night, sleep, wake up and wash your face. That’s it! How easy is that?! The first time I used it, I woke up and couldn’t believe how soft my skin felt and it honestly just kept getting softer and softer the more I used it. The peel is over, but I still plan to use it 3-4x a week.
So, want to see my results? No judging here!

The most noticeable difference in my opinion is my redness. I have always thought without makeup I had a red blotches all over my face, I still have some but using these products have definitely reduced my redness! One of the biggest issues during this challenge was taking the photos in the same lighting! We were on the move a lot at the end of summer, so my photos are never in the same lighting but I can honestly tell you this challenge worked for me! I know the two photos below are different lighting but you can tell!
If you are new to Beautycounter, don’t be afraid to try something new! I just listed to what Jodi, my consultant, suggested and what she said would happen really did! These girls know their stuff, trust them! As a newbie to beautycounter, I started with the basics; start with a cleanse, then tone with this rosewater mist, apply the overnight resurfacing peel, apply the nourishing night cream, and end with the countermatch eye cream! On nights that I am not doing the peel I add 2 drops of this brightening oil into my night cream and pat into my face in place of the peel. And then you are ready for bed! How easy is that!
I have truly loved using Beautycounter this past month and plan on continuing to use it! I am no expert, but my skin has never felt healthier!
